Before we get too far into outfits (or even begin!) let's work on something that's just fun! My favorite brand of vintage jewelry (although I'm not very picky at all when it comes to vintage jewelry) is Trifari. It has a few different version of the logos, but normally it uses their T with a crown on top. They made quite lovely jewelry and I have collected a good grouping of pieces over the years. Over my vacation, I found an antique store that had several vintage advertisements from Trifari. And, lucky us, we get to see them still today! You can pull them up a bit bigger to see better too. So here goes:

Vacation Time!
I took a bit of a vacation for the Thanksgiving holiday with family and now I'm back! I have several outfits to post about from before and during my vacation. I also have some other vintage goodies to post that I think you'll all just love! Now that that's said, let's get to it! One outfit at a time!

Vintage-a-Day - Day 5
It's just another Manic Monday! To cheer up my Monday, I decided to wear one of the pieces that started my love of vintage clothing in the very beginning; a skirt that my Grammi made in the early 1950's, before my mom was even born. This skirt has a twin, made of practically the same fabric (only in a different color scheme) and has seen many things. Luckily enough my Grammi, my mom and I are all on the tiny side and therefore all three of us have worn this skirt. This skirt has seen times in many high school and colleges classes, at many different jobs, and in many different eras. It's twin, of course, has also been around thourghout all of this and someday I'm sure I'll share it as well. For now, here is the salmon-colored, plaid, wool skirt.

Vintage-a-Day - Day 4
Sunday fun-day! My relaxing Sunday was filled with coffee, shopping and time with good friends! And what a better place to wear a vintage blouse than out to coffee? (Unless you spill coffee a lot, which I don't normally, so I was golden! haha) The rest of my outfit was simply modern jeans and boots, so I figured I would focus on the vintage blouse today as I'm pretty sure it's the first time I've worn this emerald beauty!

Vintage-a-Day - Day 3
A Saturday in Fall? It was definitely time for jeans and a vintage sweater! This is a sweet little sweater that I believe was my mom's at one point. (Our collections have mixed for so long that now there is a very blurry line as to what was hers and what I have added....she can't even remember sometimes!) This sweater has a perfectly crocheted collar with pearls and a pearl clasp at the back of the neck. It's a lovely mauve color and very feminine. I wore my vintage pearl screw-back earrings to match the collar. My flared and jeans were modern additions to the outfit.
Sweater: crocheted mauve with pearl and cream collar . circa ? . possibly was my mom's?
Earrings: large screw-back pearls . circa 1940s? . thrift store or antique shop (too many shops that day!)

Vintage-a-Day - Day 2
For the majority of today, I worked. Where I work, it's for a university and it's a thing around there to wear our school colors every Friday to show our spirit. Being that I'm all about spirit, I definitely try to do this. Therefore I had to mix gold, silver, black and some kind of real university gear all together and hopefully do that in a cute way! I'd like to think I managed...
